Howdy, foodandholiday's reader! Hope you all are doing well! Last week, 2 of foodandholiday's crew visited this 3 months old Vietnam eatery in Medan. Pho AQ, that is how the owner named this place.
This was our first time of Pho-ing, so we were so eager to know what Pho is going to be like. The interior of this place is very simple yet tidy. No other facility is available, wooden chairs and wooden tables are the main ornaments in this place. Honestly, we quite enjoyed this kind of humble setting.
The very sweet ladyboss told us that there is only Pho (pronounced as Fuh) for us to choose from, with the choice of beef, chicken and pork. Ours here (in the picture below) was beef. Price is Idr. 30K. She also claimed that the chef here is a Vietnamese. Woow, we were excited!
Our review is, this Pho is a very very light flavour kind of dish. What you can see in the picture was noodle, thinly sliced beef, vegetables and bean sprouts. Beef was tender and juicy, but a little bit less thick to us. But I was glad that they didn't remove the fatty part of the meat. It was pretty good! We ourselves are bold flaovur kind of person though. And also, as mentioned above, this was our first time of pho-ing, so we dont have any idea of what the real and authentic Pho supposed to be. And oh yes! They brew very good Vietnam coffee (Idr. 16K) too!
Is there any other Vietnam resto in town anyone would recommend? Pho AQ (closed every Monday) Jln. Bangka No. 94/88, Medan. Telp. 061-4573979.
